WALKING EXPERIENCES ON GRAN CANARIA

Ciao Franz, we had a great time during our walks with you. You gave us the opportunity of seeing wonderful places right in the middle of Gran Canaria. I really reccomend those walks because they gave us the real sentiment of Gran Canaria. Thanks again. The weather was ideal for our 7hr hike on sometimes challenging terrain, offering a good mix of uphill climb and decent. The highlights of the day had to be visiting Rogue Nublo and also being able to view Mount Teide on Tenerife which was pretty cool. The tranquility of the area was beautiful and it was good to view the quait villages and see what life was like outside the bustle found in the rseort of Playa where I was staying for the week.All in all I felt very happy about my hiking experience with Franz who was very patient and informative. This would be a venue which I would hope to revisit in the future. Thanks Franz for a memorable day. Sandra Wilson from Northern Ireland(Sandra Wilson) Franz, a special thank you for all the work you did to make our most recent hiking holiday in Gran Canaria such a success. As you know we have hiked in various parts of the world, including Europe, North America, Australia, and New Zealand, with Gran Canaria providing the best hiking that we have enjoyed to date. We were fascinated by the large number of lived in cave houses and the unusual cave churches which are still in regular use, bringing alive to us the long and interesting history of the island. The hiking trips were exceptional, the good photographs and notes and the information you provided made the hikes more enjoyable. We were impressed by the high standard of the hotels. Important to us was the absence of poisonous plants, snakes, mosquitoes, and wild animals. The incredibly good weather, the friendliness of the Gran Canarians, and the safety of being on our own, made hiking through the mountains a most enjoyable experience. The scenery was spectacular with many stunning views. We also enjoyed the days that we hiked with you and are looking forward to returning to hike in other areas. Also of note is that Gran Canaria is the only place we have returned to for a second hiking holiday, with a third being planned. Once again, thank you.
